Welcome To The Sanctuary

The Sanctuary at Gourmet Farms is a sacred space, exquisitely designed inside and out, to nurture the spiritual growth and general wellness of its Guests. It is a beautifully landscaped compound comprised of a ten-room Guest House, a Chapel, a Conference Center, and an outdoor Pavilion. The park-like gardens are profuse with mature trees, flowering and fragrant plants, grass lawns, a duck pond and meandering streams.

Landscaped Gardens

The gardens have grown almost organically on this half hectare of gently rolling land, tended with love by Wendell and his team of gardeners. It is a little Eden, featuring indigenous trees, and shrubs, and flowering plants and orchids that line the walking paths or cling to branches overhead. A stream meanders through, pausing in the duck pond, before journeying on.

Chapel of Our Lady of Grace

In a place full of peace, this is the most peaceful. In pews enough for only 50 people, visitors gaze at an altar set against a floor-to-ceiling glass backdrop. Beyond it, towering frees sway in the breeze, or soak in the sun. The intricately carved latticework came from India, but the magnificent porcelain image of Our Lady of Grace came from Italy. Other religious works of art are inspiring and worth the pause. Year round, the floral decorations amaze – and are lovingly created by groundskeeper Wendell.

Guest House and Rooms

A private courtyard precedes the entrance to each of the ten "cells" are furnished sparely, but comfortably. Simple sleeping cots, a desk for reflective reading or writing, and a closet are in the bedroom. A bathroom almost equally as large as the bedroom complete the guest accommodation. AC or floor fans are available, but guests often opt to simply let the fresh air in, along with morning birdsong or evening croaking frogs.
